Jimmy Kimmel Indefinitely cancelled by Disney over Charlie Kirk commentary

Disney owned ABC has announced that Jimmy Kimmel Live! has been put on indefinite hiatus due to comments made by Kimmel in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk's murder. You can watch the clip that got him cancelled here.

Basically, President What's-His-Name's FCC threatened Disney and of course they folded. Nothing Kimmel said was wrong, or even that controversial. Trump, the whiney little pussy that him and his dumb little buddies are, simply wanted an excuse to remove Kimmel from the air. He already said as much not to far back (Warning:Truth Social link). Our President is a sexual abuser, I have no doubt in my mind that he'd exploit the murder of a man that loved him dearly to get a crappy TV show cancelled. He's a bitch that can't handle criticism and doesn't give a shit about free speech. He certainly doesn't give a shit about Charlie Kirk. To you MAGA fucks, are you so enveloped in your admiration for this guy that you can't see that? Are you retarded? Get your shit together. If you gave a shit about Charlie Kirk, you should be outraged by how his death is being exploited by these people. I think he was a complete piece of shit, and even I'm disgusted by it.

Imagine the precedents he's setting right now. These people are retarded to think they'll be in office forever or that they can eliminate their Democratic Party opposition. They'll be voted out of office, and gerrymandering will ensure they never win again. It's already happened in California. They Democrats are incompetent but with the political climate here, even insane things like "entire country will become California" is plausible. MAGA has given up pretending that they're free speech warriors, and many will abandon them for it.

Even stupider still, is for them to assume that it's solely Democrats and progressives that oppose them. I oppose, wholeheartedly, anyone that wants to trample on anyone's constitutional rights. Especially the first amendment. I'll vote in anyone that says "I oppose raping women, rounding up mexicans, and free speech restrictions" at this point. I don't consider myself "leftist". I simply oppose anyone trying to impose their will on others.

Admittedly, this is a problem with Disney just as much as it is a problem with Trump and his cock-sucking little followers. You cannot expect a huge corporation to care about the constitution when there's money on the line. Especially Disney, who's only motivation is money. The flimsy excuse they'll cling to in vain cannot be seen as anything but. Disney does not care about the United States Constitution and that they're in a position where that matters is suspect in and of itself.

Kimmel wasn't celebrating Kirks death, he was criticizing the exploitation of his death. Again, exploiting a mans death for political gain is just as bad, if not worse than celebrating it. At least those celebrating it were simple saying shitty things. MAGA is using his death to do shitty things.

You can be certain that they'll continue to weaponize the FCC now that Disney caved so fast. Like I said, we cannot rely on corporations to resist the will of Trump and his agenda. Boycotts work, and boycotting Disney is a good first step. Sadly, there's way too much content under the Disney umbrella. The Simpsons, for instance, is owned by Disney, and I'm annoyed that I'm gonna have to bust out my DVDs the next time I watch it, since I'll be cancelling my Disney Plus subscription. Cancel yours, and stop going to see their sloppy movies. Protest at Disneyland, DisneyWorld, etc. Our wallets fund them, take it away and make them feel it.

When the democrats get back into power, they should look at the kind of monopoly Disney has on media and break them up. Star Wars, Marvel, Fox, and others all consolidated under an umbrella that will actively circumvent free speech to appease empty threats. They have a tremendous responsibility and they just demonstrated that they can't handle it.

There's no excuse for political violence, there's no excuse for using said political violence to silence speech of any kind. Especially when said victim of political violence was (seemingly) extremely pro first amendment. Imagine being so loathsome that I have to defend Charlie Kirk's dignity from you. Jesus Christ what is this world coming to.

I want peace, I want quiet, and I want everyone to be able to say whatever the hell they want, and be criticized for it by anyone BUT the government.
